My Current Obsession: Aliens

Hi fellow earth-inhabitants,
As you can see, my new current obsession is aliens! It kinda feels like they've been popping up everywhere, from T-shirts to TV. Lately, to feed my extraterrestrial preoccupation, I've been binge watching the X-files. I can't believe I didn't start it earlier! #ScullyandMulder4Life

My Current Obsession: Phone Cases

Hi friends,
I thought I'd introduce a new segment called "My Current Obsession". Basically, I'll be doing features on things that I'm totally loving that week, or day, or month. It can be specific, like a new pair of shoes, or more general, like a color or a music genre. I think it'll be fun to make, so I hope you all enjoy reading it.

For my inaugural post, I present PHONE CASES to you as my current obsession. I find myself always looking them up online and stopping at kiosks. I want to change cases like I change my shoes everyday! I don't have quite enough for that yet, but it has been fun browsing.

My first case (Verison store):

My current case (Tilly's):

Society6 has about 100 pages worth of phone cases! (It's the one that I featured on my tapestry post.)

They are about $35 each, a little pricey compared to my current case, which was about $3 on clearance. The art is too cool to pass up, though; don't be surprised if I have that alien one soon!

Do you have a current obsession? Are you in love with your phone case or lusting after another? Share in the  comments!!

Third Eye

Hi friends,
During the semester I didn't have much time to take pictures for long blog posts, but I did have time for Instagram posts.

I post more frequently on Instagram than here, so I thought I'd share some looks from there :)

Check the original Instagram posts if you are interested in where I bought the pieces I am wearing.

My Top 5 Musts for a Cozy Winter Night

Hi friends,
      Long time, no post, huh?
Sorry, guys! I was slammed this semester, but it paid off! (living that 4.0 life, haha). After checking out Adore Me, I thought I'd share how I stay cozy and chic during the winter.

My Top 5 Musts for a Cozy Winter Night

1. A good book
There is nothing more chic than a sharp mind, so for my first winter "must", I suggest a good book. I do not like to go out too much in the winter (Who wants to wear a bulky jacket to a club, right?) A book and my bed on the other hand, is a perfect winter pairing. Right now, I am working through the Harry Potter series. However if you are more current than myself, I'd suggest

2. Online shopping
When the roads are paved with ice, online shopping is an accessible way to get my fashion fix without braving the cold weather. I probably spend way too much time window shopping on websites, but there are not many productive ways to pass the time when one is snowed in, especially at night. Check out Adore Me for some inspiration.

3. Old Volunteer T-shirts
As you know, I am a college student, and we aren't exactly known for our style (unless you think sweatpants are chic). Though I love browsing clothes websites, most of the time, unless I find something really special, what ends up in my cart stays there. I mainly spend my nights in old T-shirts I have been given for volunteering at 5Ks or animal shelters.

4. A good playlist
I used to be a Pandora girl, but now I'm hooked on Spotify. I have the music attention-span of a 4 year old and barely make it through a whole song, so the endless Spotify playlists help keep my interest. Sometimes, treating yourself to a "me party" with loud music and hairbrush-karaoke is just what you need to unwind after a cold, stressful day.

5. A best friend of the furry variety
Lastly, my top winter-night accessory is my puppy. She goes perfectly with any pajama set or playlist :P I don't get to see her a lot when I am at school, so my winter break nights at home are dedicated to quality time with my pup!

I hope you enjoyed my list! It was really fun to make, different than my usual posts. However, I don't know if I can refer to them as "usual", because I haven't posted in a while. If you have other top 5 "musts", perfect winter playlists, or books that you reread every winter, please share them in the comments! I'd love to read about them!

And thanks to you guys for visiting!
