     Sorry I haven't posted as often as I did over the summer. The fall semester has started, and it's been very hectic. I added another major, so that's been crazy. Summer Obsequies

Hi friends!
     Since summer is coming to a close, I thought titling this after the Emily Dickinson poem, "Summer Obsequies" would be appropriate. I had this casual, hippie boho thing going on today, walking around the garden acting like I have a green thumb, paying my respects to summer and getting ready to move into fall.
   

Get Fit with Yogamazing

Hi friends,
     This isn't my regular post, but I wanted to share one of my favorite ways to stay fit: yoga! When I don't feel like leaving my room, yoga is a great way to get some exercise.

      Yogamazing, by Chaz Rough, is my favorite yoga podcast. If you're new to yoga, he does a good job of talking you through the poses. I'm not a beginner, though, and I still like them. They're free to download off Itunes and range from 15-30 minutes. Its a perfect length for when you want to get a quick workout in. There are a bunch of his videos on Youtube, too. I recommend checking it out!

These Headbands Are a Steal

Hi friends,
     I went on a hunt for headbands today. Every store only seems to have the headwraps that go all the way around, which look weird with my short hair most times. Luckily, Claire's saved the day with a bunch of reasonably priced headbands. They had a whole wall of them. Some were a little too girly and young, granted it is Claire's, but sifting through the racks, I found some that were appropriate for my age and pretty cool.

(They were also buy one get half off when I got them. Yay sales!)

I purchased the top two. I'm excited to start wearing them!

Throwback Thursday III

Hi friends,
     This is a quick throwback from a family party a few years ago. We were playing Bocce.

The dress was one of my favorites, but got waaaaay too short. It was from Forever 21, but I haven't seen any dresses like it from them again. The shoes were from Payless and the bracelet was my grandmothers.

My Mascara Routine

Hi friends,
     Mascara routine? That sounds weird, right? I'm very particular about how I apply my mascara, though, so I thought I could take you through my process. It's pretty quick and the best method I've found to avoid spidery lashes and dark smudging under the eyes.

     This is a pretty park by my house. It's a great space, so Ally and I decided to experiment with some picture-taking. We had fun, and got to see a wedding! :]

     Yay, it's time for more Pinterest things! Since I'm back on campus, this post caters specifically to college-life.

1. The Plank Challenge
    I've got a gym on campus, but it's nice to get a workout without leaving my room. I just finished it, but I'm gonna start again.

2. Vegan Crockpot Meals
    I've got an on campus apartment this semester! Best part? It's got a kitchen. I can make these on the     weekends when I have time, so I have meals during the week.

3. Yoga Mat Flip Flops
    AKA free shower shoes

4. Rain Boots
    At my school, rain boots are a must!

Hi friends, 

    Pink, polka dots, friendly woodland creatures, I might as well be in a disney movie...kinda. The woodland creatures part refers to my deer necklace and owl shoes not my cat. My cat thought she was being helpful by jumping on me while I was trying to take the pictures. She was not, but I did manage to get a couple shots where she wasn't climbing all over me.
