Throwback Thursday

Hi cool people,
On my old blog, I have posts from when my friend and I spent the day trying on her grandmother's dresses from when she was a teenager (double throwback!). This was one of my favorite ones. Wow, my hair was long.

Favorite Pins of the Week

Hi people,
I am always on Pinterest, so I was thinking I'd share some of my favorite pins from this week. If it's a popular post, I might make it a weekly thing. I think it'll be fun! I'll have to think of a more creative title, though. Too bad there isn't a day of the week that starts with P, Pin Puesday...I'll keep working on it...

1. "5 Non-Boring Ways to Style a Pixie"
My hair is getting long enough to do something like this. I cant wait to try!

2. "Spinach and Artichoke Wonderpot"
As a vegetarian and an Italian, pasta is about 800% of my diet. :P Artichokes, spinach, and mushrooms are also my 3 favorite veggies! Yum!

3. "40 Fun DIY Photo Props"
I was looking at these for future picture ideas. Don't be surprised if some show up in future posts!

Such a cute picture, but you know she's freezing with that freezer door open!

I love all crystals. They're so pretty and add an heir of mysticism to an outfit.

I had fun choosing pins. I think I'll do it again next week!

Cool nails for CHEAP

Hey guys,
When I say cheap, I'm talking $1. Yes, only a dollar for some badass nails. One of my best friends works at dollar tree, and I never paid it much attention until I started visiting her. There's some good stuff there!

Nail Jewels

More Nail Jewels

My favorite discovery has been their nail section. They have falsies, nail decals, polish, etc for only a dollar! I bought Maybelline's Color Show Nail Falsies, because I figured why not. I hate ruining my nails with acrylics and I don't have the money for it anyway. This package came with 24 nails and a bunch of adhesive pieces (they kinda remind me of the sticky, rubber stuff that sticks a gift card to the cardboard paper). The adhesive worked pretty well surprisingly.

This picture's from Ebay, but you get the idea.

At most they'll last probably 5 days, as long as you don't really do a lot haha. For me, they lasted 2 days, but that includes trips to the gym, showers, and cleaning my house. I had to replace the sticky part for 2 nails, because they fell off. That was more my fault than the brand's, because I kept pulling those ones off to reposition them.
The ones I bought were white with reflective tips so it was hard to get a good picture with my webcam, because the reflective part kept shining and messing up the picture. I tried. I like these ones, because they were painted black underneath.

I think these nails would be perfect for an event. If you want you nails to look hot at prom or a party or anywhere like that, they'd definitely last and are way less hassle than paying for a salon trip. I will definitely be buying some more of these in the future.

Bloglovin' Pros and Cons

Hi bloggers and blog readers,
I wanted to make this post, because I've noticed a lot of contrasting opinions regarding Bloglovin.com, some love it and some don't. First off, this isn't a sponsored post or anything like that. (I'm not that popular...or am I?) Bloglovin' has a lot of positive attributes. It got my blog out there, and it gave me an easy way to follow other blogs I like. I'm grateful for this; it's awesome. If I didn't have a blog, I doubt I'd find anything wrong with it.
The problem I have with the site is the "bloglovin' frame". As far as I can tell, when one visits a blog page/post with the frame, it credits the page view to bloglovin' instead of the blog owner . This means that when someone looks at my page with the frame enabled, I don't see the page view (I've read other blogs that say it does this and tested it myself). Your views are very important to me, and I greatly appreciate anyone who looks at my blog. I want to know when you guys are visiting. The reason I said "or am I" is because I could be getting 100 bloglovin' views a day and not know it. Granted this is a gross exaggeration, I don't really believe my views are that high, but I would like to know for sure how many views I am getting, whether they be 100 a day or 1 a day.
Basically, if you are visiting my blog through bloglovin', I would greatly appreciate if you disable the frame, so that I can see your visit in my page views. There is an X box to click when you are on the page and an option to disable it completely in your settings. If you are strongly in favor of using the frame (it can be convenient), that is ok, but perhaps you wouldn't mind "hearting" the post you like or leaving a comment.
I want to know you are here. It makes me happy. Ultimately, it is you're decision; feel free to keep the frame or not. I just wanted my preference out there, because if I wasn't a blogger, I wouldn't have realized this was how the site worked. Thank you for reading my blog; I appreciate ever last view and viewer! You are all super wonderful people!

Kimono You Didn't!

(Get it? Oh, no you didn't...Kimono you...never mind)

Hi friends,
Do you like my silly pun? I'm not a big fan of puns, but I like using them for fun titles. Anyway, I'm still working out camera stuff, but here's what I wore today.

Kimonos are a great way to add layers to an outfit on a hot day. I love winter and fall fashion because of the options through mixing and matching. When it's hot, i just wanna put on a tank top and exercise shorts and be done. Kimonos, however, are a lightweight way to keep my summer wardrobe interesting. One plus about summer weather is cute sandals! I love my gold owl ones!!
