Liebster Award!

Hi friends,
     Today is an exciting day for me, because the generous Katie of Emilade, which is a really cool DIY blog, has nominated me for the Liebster Award! I hadn't even heard of this award before a couple weeks ago, but I think it is an amazing project to help share blogs. Thank you so much for the nomination!

1.  What's your favorite animal?

Ah, I love so many animals. If I had to choose I'd probably pick an elephant. 

2.  Do you have any pets?

Yes! I have 2 dogs, a cat, and a corn snake.

3.  What's your favorite quote?

"I carry your heart with me(i carry it in my heart)" from my favorite poem by E.E. Cummings

4.  Favorite childhood memory?

This is hard, too. Good questions, Katie! I guess it'd be the time my dad, brother, and I went hiking in Montana and got really close to a family of bears without any bear spray. It was scary in the moment, but my dad loves telling the story, which makes me happy. 

5.  What's your biggest goal in life?

I want to be happy. On a less serious note, I'd like to live to be 150 years old :P 

6.  What are 3 interesting facts about yourself?

I mismatch my socks on purpose. 

I am a feminist.

I love learning.

7.  Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?

Hopefully I will have a successful career as a therapist, while working on/finished with my PhD, and happily married to my girlfriend. We'd probably be talking about how we can start a family, too. i don't know where all the money's going to come from to fund this life, haha.

8.  Do you have any siblings?

I have a brother and a step brother.

9.  Have you read any good books lately?

I'm currently reading The Ocean at the End of the Lane and Until I Find You. I'd highly suggest reading House of Leaves and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. The latter is a play, so I don't think it's supposed to be underlined but whatever. 

10.  Who's your celebrity crush?

Male: Johnny Depp or Peter Dinklage

Female: Christina Hendricks

11.  Why did you start blogging?

The summer can get boring and this was a fun way to attempt being productive.
